Saturday – Sunday, March 19 – 20, 2011. . .
THE WRITING. . .Spent Saturday morning at it. Ahh. A scene prompted by a note jotted on an index card who knows when took shape.
Reminder to self: Read those index cards on the storyboard!! I often lose track as the story takes off and characters develop. Some of those notes become unnecessary – but others give insight that I don’t even realize until later.
The mail brought a letter on real paper via a publisher from a reader. =) She wrote how much she liked and appreciated Castles in the Sand. Was my day made or what?
THE DETAILS. . .Happy Spring! Reading, walking, church, groceries, spring rainstorm with high winds.
The Gifts of the Jews, an intriguing book by Thomas Cahill (he wrote How the Irish Saved Civilization). Enjoying the peek at ancient history; read about when writing (as in putting words on clay tablets) first came about. People actually used it to write down their stories. Stories!
